About the Department
The Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry is dedicated to providing comprehensive oral healthcare for infants, children, adolescents, and children with special healthcare needs. The department is committed to excellence in teaching, patient care, research, and community outreach in accordance with the guidelines of the National Dental Council (NDC).
The department offers preventive, restorative, pulp therapy, aesthetic, interceptive, and emergency dental care using child-friendly, evidence-based approaches. Special emphasis is placed on behaviour management, preventive dentistry, early diagnosis, and the promotion of lifelong oral health habits.
Equipped with modern clinical facilities and advanced dental technologies, the department provides extensive clinical training to undergraduate and postgraduate students while fostering ethical practice, scientific research, and professional development. Through school dental health programmes, awareness campaigns, and community outreach initiatives, the department strives to improve pediatric oral health and create positive dental experiences for every child.
